WORKSHOP 2: MAKE YOUR OWN PICTURE BOOK

In this one-day workshop Lee Fox tells how Ella Kazoo will not Brush Her Hair was created and shows students how to make their own picture book for children. The following areas are covered:

1. A head full of great ideas
2. Mind mapping your story
3. Using a three part story structure
4. Finding your best words (use of tools such as dictionary, rhyming dictionary & thesaurus)
5. Using a story board
6. How to make a dummy book

Students are given all the necessary tools to go on in follow-up class sessions and produce a picture book of their own with confidence.

Book reading and handouts also provided.
